Athletic Event Update:

The middle school flag football game scheduled for Tuesday, September 9th has had a change of start time. The game will start at 4:30 PM in order to have the players home earlier.

Do you have a student athlete or plan on attending a sporting event and want to stay on-top of any changes with games? One way to be notified of athletic changes is to use the "Notify Me" feature on our athletic calendar. Follow the steps in the graphic to help you know of cancellations and rescheduled events for sports of your choice.

Day One is done! Day Two is about to begin! Mr. Bub was checking in with some of Northwood's new middle schoolers to see how they were adjusting to the new year. Here we go, Evergreens!

We are excited about the 2025-2026 school year starting today. There are some changes to our entrances at the Northwood School District. There graphic shows the names of entrances as a reference. If you are visiting the district office, please use the new location labeled "Evergreen Entrance". There is more information below about the overall school day below: Before School Program beginning at 7:30 a.m.: - Students arriving before 8:00 a.m. must attend the Before School Program. Please enter at the Delivery Door. This Program will begin on the first day of school. Morning Drop-off Procedure beginning at 8:00 a.m.: - Entrances will open at 8:00 a.m. for all students not attending the Before School Program. - Buses will drop students off at the Richards Auditorium…doors open at 8:00 a.m. - Student drivers and passengers will park and use the front entrance marked "Home of the Evergreens"…doors open at 8:00 a.m. - Parent Drop-off will be on the east side of the building and enter through the new remodeled entrances marked "Tiny Seeds Entrance" or "Evergreen Entrance". Vehicles may unload in the drop off lane or park in a designated parking spot and walk students to the door. Staff will be there to help students. Afternoon Pick-up Procedure: - Elementary students will be dismissed at 3:25 p.m and MS/HS students at 3:27 p.m. - Buses will pick students up at the Richards Auditorium entrance. - Student drivers and passengers will exit using the "Home of the Evergreens" doors. - Parent Pick-up will be on the east side of the building at the "Tiny Seeds Entrance". Vehicles should pull forward and line up along the drop off lane while waiting for dismissal or pull in a designated parking spot and wait outside on the sidewalk. Afternoon School Program: After School Program (grades K-5) begins at 3:25 p.m. and ends at 5:15 p.m. Monday - Thursday. To sign up for this free program, contact the district office. The After School Program will begin on Tuesday, September 2nd. Tiny Seeds Learning Center provides after school care for preschool age children ($10/day fee). To sign up, contact director Kim Schultz.

Welcome Back Northwood Students & Staff! It's a great day to be an Evergreen!

NSS Middle School Flag Football practices will start on the first day of school (Wednesday, August 27th). The practices will take place at the Northwood School and run from 3:45 to 5:15 PM. Players should bring practice clothes, cleats and water bottles and coaches will hand out schedules at those practices. For more information, contact Mr. Latvala at chase_latvala@northwoodk12wi.com.

Two days until the Back-to-School Picnic & Orientation. Everyone is Invited!

When: Thursday, August 21st from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

There will be hot dogs and chips (free for families) will be served all evening. Families can meet the staff, tour the building including the newly remodeled Entrances and Student Services Center, check out the classrooms, and learn more at the informational meetings below.
● 5:00-5:30 Information meeting for 5th grade nature camp - 5th grade classroom
● 5:30-6:00 6th grade orientation (does not include NorthStar) students and parents - Library
● 6:00-6:30 Freshman orientation for students and parents - Library
● 6:30-7:00 Co-Curricular Handbook meeting for all MS/HS sports, clubs, etc. - Auditorium
