NorthStar had an Outdoor Day on Wednesday and did (almost) all of their learning in the school forest! During Outdoor Day, students tidied up the outdoor classroom and firepit area and participated in their core classes. For Literacy, they read their books and answered chapter questions. They hiked to various locations with GPS units, writing descriptive paragraphs about each location for Science. For some physical activity, NorthStar biked the trails through the school forest. They even ate lunch outside and had a little free time to play in the woods, which turned into a self-directed team building activity!
