NorthStar went to the Palace Theater in Spooner to see the new Mario movie as a reward for their 3rd quarter reading goal! Each quarter, NorthStar students are required to read at least three books at their individual levels and complete a series of assignments for each book. Big thanks to Palace Theater for creating an excellent experience for us! We are so grateful to have this in our local community!
Consistent, on-time attendance is an important factor in academic success. Middle school and high school students were rewarded this week if they had ZERO tardies during Quarter 3!
- 24 middle schoolers earned donuts during their Weekly Spark meeting hosted by Mr. Turinske and Mr. Bub.
- 10 high school students earned a drink of their choice from Boondocks Coffee & Cafe (two students are not pictured) for being on time to all their classes.

Congratulations to Northwood junior, Gage Bender! He recently claimed the 198 lbs. Wisconsin State Powerlifting Champion! He also made a state squat record of 601 lbs! Amazing job, Gage!

High school students have the opportunity to win door prizes through engaging with various community partners. The event runs from 4:00 - 7:30 PM in the Northwood Gymnasium. This event is open to the public, as well.

Just a reminder that Wisconsin’s public school open enrollment program allows parents to apply for their children to attend a school district other than the one in which they live. Applications may be submitted to up to three nonresident school districts if the pupil wishes to attend a brick and mortar school. A reminder about this weekend's event. Project Prom Dress! Help local youth attend their prom. Donate your clean, gently used dresses to help young ladies in the area have a night to remember. Give that dress another night to shine! Items being sought for the event are: prom dresses, party dresses, evening gowns, jewelry, shoes, purses & clutches. Just a reminder about our upcoming Academic Assessment Day tomorrow, Tuesday, March 24th. Northwood School will have a 6th through 11th grade state testing day. PK-5th will not have school. This will enable more support with proctoring by utilizing our elementary staff.
