The Village of Minong is hosing an event for National Night Out.

Date: Tuesday, August 4, 2026
Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Location: Love Memorial Field (Richard & Railroad Street), Minong

National Night Out is designed to bring neighbors together, strengthen relationships between the community and public safety agencies, and promote a safer, stronger Minong. Whether you’re coming for the activities, the helicopter landing, or simply to spend an evening with family and friends, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Reminder: Attention All Student Athletes and Parents The all-sport meeting will be held on Monday, August 3rd at 7:00 PM in the Northwood Auditorium. All student athletes who plan on participating in any school sponsored sports during the 26-27 school year and are in grades 5-12 and their parents/guardians should attend. High School practices are for 9th - 12th grades. HS football practice begins on August 4th. HS cross country and volleyball practices begin on August 17th. Middle School practices are for 5th - 8th grades. MS cross country practice begins on August 17th. MS volleyball practice begins on August 24th. MS football practice begins on August 31st. Full practice schedules and exact practice times will be determined by each sports coaching staff.

A reminder about the District Office summer hours of operation for the remainder of the summer. The district office will be open from 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM Tuesday through Thursday. There will be one more full week of closure for the district office. That will be August 3rd-7th.

The Tiny Seeds Learning Center will be open for their regular hours 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Just a reminder that some Northwood alumni are trying to organize a reunion for classes of 1968, 1967 & 1968. A tentative date of the gathering is September 12, 2026.
