Athletic Event Update: Tonight's JV Boys Basketball game vs. Turtle Lake has been cancelled. The Varsity Girls and Boys games will still be played as scheduled at home. Girls will play at 5:45 PM and boys at 7:15 PM. Go Big Green!
Just a reminder that for all home sports events children 5th grade or younger need to sit with parents/guardians.
Kid's Heart Challenge at Northwood is starting! Mr. Latvala is sending information home this week with elementary students. Parent's please check your child's backpack.

Just one last reminder that there will not be school for students on February 16th due to a professional development day. The Tiny Seeds Learning Center is open for their regular hours, however.
Project Prom Dress! Help local youth attend their prom. Donate your clean, gently used dresses to help young ladies in the area have a night to remember. Give that dress another night to shine! Items being sought for the event are: prom dresses, party dresses, evening gowns, jewelry, shoes, purses & clutches. Collecting New & Gently Used items by March 6, 2026. The Shopping Date for students is Sunday, March 29, 2026 at JLAAC in Minong from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. For more information, see the graphic. Wisconsin’s public school open enrollment program allows parents to apply for their children to attend a school district other than the one in which they live. Applications may be submitted to up to three nonresident school districts if the pupil wishes to attend a brick and mortar school. For more information about open enrollment, either check out DPI's brochure explaining Wisconsin's open enrollment policies at: https://dpi.wi.gov/oe or contact the Northwood District Office for more information about our district's offerings.

- What: A night of food, games, and fun centered around designing community service projects.
- When: March 7-8 (Saturday-Sunday) from 7pm-7am
- Where: Spooner Memorial Library
- Requirements: Pre-registration and parent permission are required by February 27th.
- Safety: All adult volunteers are vetted with background checks, and continuous adult supervision will be provided.

Members of the Class of 2026 are hosting a Carnation Conversation Fundraiser! Send a carnation and a kind note to a friend, classmate, or staff member to brighten their day. Proceeds will support the upcoming Senior Class trip in April.
See the graphic for more details. Order forms will be sent home with students on Friday, February 6th. Forms must be returned no later than February 11th. Middle and high school students can order during lunch.

Northwood Elementary is hosting a Valentine's Story Stroll night on February 11th. There will also be an informational meeting regarding Title I, Act 20 and Student Learning Plans and Family Bingo prior to the story stroll. The event runs from 4:00-5:00 PM. See the graphic for more details.
Last week the Northwood middle schoolers celebrated a successful 1st semester with some time at JLAAC. Way to go, Middle Schoolers!
A reminder for this week, Northwood will be having dress-up days for Winter Fest. See the graphic for details. There will also be a Sweetheart Dance for high school students on Saturday, February 7th from 7-10 PM at JLAAC.
