Athletic Event Update: The NSS Varsity football vs. Mellen for September 11th has had a date change. It will now be played on Thursday, September 10th at 7:00 PM at Mellen.

Just a reminder that for all home sports events children 5th grade or younger need to sit with parents/guardians. Also, no pets are allowed on school property, including the football field.

Weekly Northwood School & Sporting Events for September 7th - September 11th.

Reminder - No School on Monday, September 7th. The District Office and Tiny Seeds Learning Center are closed, as well.

Today, Thursday, September 3rd, NSS middle school football practice is canceled due to the weather forecast. Students should be going home after school.

The updated website for Northwood has easy access to livestreaming. For inside sporting events that are being played at home, the school uses Hudl. For all other livestreaming events, links will be located the appropriate sections. See the graphic for details.

Northwood School District added some new faces to the building recently. Welcome to Abby Navarro (Lakeland Family Resource Center School to Home Liaison), Sarah Ries (Early Childhood Special Education), Daniela Subialka (Food Service Lead), Shiloh Thompson (ASL Interpreter), Bill Fortman (Transportation) and Haley Welsch (Speech & Language Pathologist). Tonight the NSS Varsity Football team will travel to Bruce. There is no livestreaming available. Kick-off is at 7:00 PM.

Today, the Northwood staff all came together and are getting ready to see all of the families tonight at the open house from 4:30-6:30 PM. It's a Great Day to be an Evergreen!

We are less than one week to starting the new school year. Here is a little checklist of some of the things for parents and guardians to keep in mind.

One last reminder: Northwood's Annual Back to School Picnic is open to everyone! We look forward to seeing many smiling faces on Wednesday, August 26th from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Complimentary hot dogs and chips will be available for all families. Families can also meet the staff, check out the classrooms, and attend information meetings, as needed. The meetings will take place in the Library. 5:00-5:30 PM - 6th grade orientation (does not include NorthStar) students and parents. 5:30-6:00 PM - Information meeting for 5th grade nature camp. 6:00-6:30 PM - Freshman orientation for students and parents.
