Tonight the NSS Varsity Football team will travel to Bruce. There is no livestreaming available. Kick-off is at 7:00 PM.

Today, the Northwood staff all came together and are getting ready to see all of the families tonight at the open house from 4:30-6:30 PM. It's a Great Day to be an Evergreen!
We are less than one week to starting the new school year. Here is a little checklist of some of the things for parents and guardians to keep in mind.

Northwood's Annual Back to School Picnic is open to everyone! We look forward to seeing many smiling faces on Wednesday, August 26th from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Complimentary hot dogs and chips will be available for all families. Families can also meet the staff, check out the classrooms, and attend information meetings, as needed. The meetings will take place in the Library.
5:00-5:30 PM - 6th grade orientation (does not include NorthStar) students and parents.
5:30-6:00 PM - Information meeting for 5th grade nature camp.
6:00-6:30 PM - Freshman orientation for students and parents.

The NSS middle school football (grades 5-8) season will start next Tuesday, September 1st. Practices will start after school and run until 5:30 PM at Northwood School.
The coaches will be using the app Team Reach to contact parents. The group will be named N/SS Middle School Football 2026 and the group code is: nssmsfb26. This app is where families will be able to find information about practices, games, and other updates.

Northwood High School Students, if you are looking for community hours, Mrs. Kim Schultz could use some help restocking the concession stands. If interested and available, meet by the football field concession stand this Saturday (August 22nd) at 8:00 AM. There may be other opportunities to gain those hours in the future. If interested, let Mrs. Schultz know.

A fundraising event is coming up on Saturday, August 22nd from 1:00 - 5:00 pm at Wilson's KI Club. There will be a corn feed happening with proceeds going to help the Northwood & NorthStar 5th graders attending the Ernie Swift Camp this fall. Come out and support this great cause.
