For those attending the Powder Puff Game tomorrow night at 6:30 PM, please note that you may want to bring some cash. The Northwood Band will be having a Bake Sale and there will be limited concessions available at the concession stand for those wanting a little treat.
On Monday evening, the high school girls practiced while the high school boys coached for their upcoming Powder Puff game. The Powder Puff Game is Wednesday, October 8th at 6:30 PM. This event is open to the public to come out and watch. Go Big Green!

Fire Safety Day 2025! The local volunteer fire departments from Minong, Wascott and Gordon once again are partnering together to bring this opportunity to our Northwood students. The big event is happening on Thursday, October 9th and the elementary students will get to talk with members from the different departments about fire safety at school and at home.

Is chili a stew or a soup?
NorthStar students spent the past few weeks learning all things chili! They spent time researching recipes and the history of the food that has become a staple in the Midwest, along with purchasing fresh produce at a local farmers market. The class then learned how to stew their own tomatoes for the base of the chili, as well as soaking/cooking beans (if they chose to incorporate them). At the culmination, families were invited in for the first Coffee Connections of the year and NorthStar's first Chili Cookoff!
