Last week, NorthStar traveled to Hunt Hill Nature Center to participate in eight classes about water quality! Some of the topics included healthy watersheds, invasive species, fish sticks (not the kind you eat), shoreline buffers, and macroinvertebrates. The programming for the day was paid for through the Youth Environmental Stewardship (YES) program sponsored by Washburn County Lakes and Rivers Association. The kids agreed it was a busy day, but it was a great way to learn!
