Last week, NorthStar middle schoolers hosted an interactive Wellness Fair for Northwood students in grades 3–8. Funded by a grant earned at the UW-Superior Youth Summit in the fall, the completely student-led event featured two rounds of four 25-minute sessions focused on helping kids build healthy habits. Participants explored the benefits of physical activity, creative arts, and nutritious snacking. To ensure the content was age-appropriate, elementary students practiced calming breathwork while middle schoolers engaged in a session regarding the negative effects of vaping. It was a great day of learning, and our students did an awesome job leading the way toward a healthier community!
Today at Tiny Seeds they honored all of their mom’s. They invited all the moms/grandmas/mom figures to Muffins with Moms. They celebrated with muffins, fruit and juice for breakfast.

Athletic Event Update: The softball game tonight, April 28th, in New Auburn has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions there. The game has been rescheduled for Friday, May 8th in New Auburn at 5:00 PM. The team will still be practicing tonight at Northwood.

The next NorthStar Coffee Connections will be May 15th from 7:30 - 9:00 AM. Students will be showcasing their choice projects and the story books they've written. All are welcome to attend.

Northwood held their prom this past weekend at Gordon Pines. The pictures shown are the prom court. Raya Johnston and Aiden Hakime were crowded queen and king. The others on the court were Kianna Bickell, Jada Booth, Chloe Davey, Wyatt Corlett, Gunnar Golembiewski, and Linken Kasinskas. The princess and prince this year were Collins Reiss and Spencer Meyer.
