Congratulations to the Northwood High School forensics team, who performed at this weekend's state tournament. Our students were entered in the categories of group interpretation, play acting, informative speaking, prose speaking, and poetry reading. Overall we were awarded five bronze medals, 10 silver medals, and 4 gold medals. Northwood forensicators are loud and proud!

Recent Evergreen Pride Awards went to George Bestman & Julia Manor. These students have demonstrated excellence within our school. Mr. Kelly purchased them pizza as a reward for all their hard work, which after George cut that deep dish, they both shared with friends.

Yesterday, March 14th (3/14), students in Mr. Maroszek’s class help celebrate Pi Day by eating a variety of pies and other treats. It was a SWEET time for these young math enthusiasts. Having fun, spending time with friends, and discussing math just seem to add up.

Letters were sent home this week to parents and guardians of students that will be taking the Forward Exam and the ACT Aspire Test. If you have any questions, please contact the school office.

On Thursday, February 28th, Northwood 7th graders participated in a Career field trip to Spooner. They toured T&T Tool (manufacturing), Crystal Creek (agriculture), and Spooner Health (health). The tours allowed local businesses the opportunity to interact with students about the types of skills they are looking for in employees, possible routes of education beyond high school, and to highlight their standards of care and service to both customers and the local communities.
