Prom 2019

The 2018-2019 High Quiz Bowl season ended with jubilation as the Northwood Evergreen team battled to the championship title at the CESA #12 tournament on Wednesday. Knowledge was tested and wits were matched question for question, with the audience on the edge of our seats. Ultimately the Mighty Evergreens kept calm, answered wisely, pulled ahead, and took home the First Place Trophy.
Please congratulate Jade, Haakon, Margaret, and Lucas for this great accomplishment, the first time Northwood has taken the first place tourney trophy.
It was awesome to watch.
Game One: Beat Drummond 65-40
Game Two: Beat Phillips 85-35
Game Three: Beat South Shore 80-50
Game Four: Beat Ashland 60-55
Game Five: Defeated by Ashland 45-50
But it is a double-elimination tournament so we played them again...
FINAL GAME: Beat Ashland 45-30

Congratulations to the Northwood High School forensics team, who performed at this weekend's state tournament. They joined 4100 students from 340 schools around Wisconsin to bring their best speaking voices to one round of competition. Our students were entered in the categories of group interpretation, play acting, informative speaking, prose speaking, and poetry reading. Overall we were awarded five bronze medals, 10 silver medals, and 4 gold medals. Northwood forensicators are loud and proud!

Good luck at State Forensics!

Recent Evergreen Pride Awards went to George Bestman & Julia Manor. These students have demonstrated excellence within our school. Mr. Kelly purchased them pizza as a reward for all their hard work, which after George cut that deep dish, they both shared with friends.

Yesterday, March 14th (3/14), students in Mr. Maroszek’s class help celebrate Pi Day by eating a variety of pies and other treats. It was a SWEET time for these young math enthusiasts. Having fun, spending time with friends, and discussing math just seem to add up.

Letters were sent home this week to parents and guardians of students that will be taking the Forward Exam and the ACT Aspire Test. If you have any questions, please contact the school office.
