A reminder that the annual Penny Wars start tomorrow, Wednesday, November 11th and will run through next week with the final donation day being Friday, November 20th. The proceeds will be given to the Operation Rudolph charity in Minong. Donations will be collected in classrooms.

In MakerSpace on Monday the 8th graders were challenged to think about the Roman catapult concept and create an Army man launcher. The goal was accuracy. There are four more dates for the Farmers-to-Families FREE Food Distribution Boxes, taking place at the Washburn County Highway Department in Spooner. ALL families are eligible -- no income guidelines or local zip code required.

Penny Wars 2020 Edition - The penny wars will be starting next Wednesday, November 11th. All donations made will go to Operation Rudolph which helps families in need from the Minong area get presents for children at Christmas time. This charity is headed up by the Minong Fire Department and the Minong Fire and Ambulance Auxiliary.

This week in MakerSpace class, the 8th graders were challenged to make popsicle bridges with masking tape that would support weights. The bridges were stronger than the students thought they would be. Just a reminder about today: Halloween Drive-In Parade of Costumes! Pre-K through 5th grade students Today, October 30th 2:30 in the school parking lot You are invited… to have some spooky, COVID safe, fun with us! *Friends and family will drive in and park all along the sidewalk starting at the auditorium, extending along the front of the school, and ending at the circle drive near the playground. Friends and family will stay in their cars and the students will parade by walking along the sidewalk to show off their costumes.

Just a reminder about the Northwood School's Trunk or Treat event happening this Saturday, October 31st from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM. All are welcome to attend, we just ask that all attendees wear masks and social distance. We are very excited for this first-time event at Northwood. There will be 13 trunks of treats for children to visit! We hope to see you there!
