
The Scholastic Book Fair is getting set up to open Monday, March 27th at Northwood School. Classes will begin shopping on Monday during their regular library times. Students can come and shop on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM and the Book Fair will be open for Parent / Teacher conferences & Family & Community Engagement Night on Thursday from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM.


A week from today, the Northwood School will be having their annual Family & Community Night. It will be Thursday, March 30th from 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM. This will also be a time for student-led conferences. The NEF is graciously providing a free meal for all in attendance and there will be community displays, items for sale by the Art and Evergreen Enterprise students, and the book fair. It should be a good night of getting to see all that our Northwood students have been working on this school year. We hope to see you all there!

The Northwood Class of 2024 Fundraiser Raffle Drawing has been completed. Northwood "WALL of FAME" - Established to recognize and honor the accomplishments of alumni, employees and school board members. Do you know someone deserving of the Northwood WALL of FAME? A nomination form is available on the school website under menu/office or one can be picked up in the school office. Nominations must be received by April 1st.


Wisconsin State Testing season is upon us. Students in grades 3rd - 8th & 10th grades will be taking the Forward Exam. Students in grade 9th & 10th will be taking the PreACT. These are all state mandated tests. Letters are being mailed to homes with more details about each test. Here is a brief overview of the scheduled dates:
- Grade 3 (ELA & Math) - Mar. 23rd, Mar. 24th, Mar. 28th, April 4th & April 5th.
- Grade 4 (ELA, Math, Social Studies, Science) – Mar. 21st, Mar. 22nd, Mar. 27th, Mar. 29th, April 4th, April 5th, April 6th & April 12th.

Just a reminder that Thursday, March 9th is another Hats for Helping Day at Northwood. This month's designated charity is the Washburn County Humane Society.


Mark your calendars! The middle & high school band concert for the spring will be Tuesday, April 25th at 6:00 PM.


This is a reminder that there is school for all Northwood students tomorrow, Tuesday, March 7th. At the beginning of the school year, this day was just intended to be for Juniors only to complete the ACT but because of the multiple school closures this year, it was changed back by the school board to an all student instructional day. On a similar note, Juniors are asked to report at 7:50 AM tomorrow (Tuesday) for a planned breakfast in preparation for the testing and report to the library by 8:15 AM to begin testing. Please contact the district if you have any questions.

The Solon Springs Eagles will face the Drummond Lumberjacks in a Regional Boys Basketball in the Section 1 Regional Final on Saturday March 4th @ Northwood School. The game begins at 7:00pm. Congratulations to Northwood's Dominik Rose. He has qualified and will be competing at the State Powerlifting competition in Appleton. Go, Dominik!


An upcoming event at Northwood is a Hats for Helping Day and it is sponsored by Northwood’s Honor Society. On Thursday, March 9th, students and staff can bring their favorite hat to school and for $1.00 they can wear it! All money collected will go to this month’s designated charity which is the Washburn County Humane Society.
