Today two Northwood middle school band members traveled to the Shell Lake to work with other area youth in the Lakeside Band on some concert pieces and gain some musical training, as well. They are having their concert tonight at 6:00 PM at the Shell Lake Arts Center.
Another reminder that the Northwood School invites everyone to the annual Veterans Day Program on Monday, November 11th at 9:00 AM in the Richards Auditorium. Please join our school in honoring and remembering these great heroes.

Here is the information about the NSS Football State Semi-Final Game on Friday. The cost for tickets is $7.00 per person (student or adult). Presale Tickets are Available at the Northwood School Office until Friday at 9 AM or they can be purchased at the gate.

Starting next Tuesday, November 12th, the Northwood Honor Society will be hosting the annual Penny War. A penny war is where pennies (copper coins) count positively to a class's / group's tally and silver coins or green bills count negatively towards the tally. So if a group has 25 pennies and then someone puts in a quarter, their tally would be zero. There will be three winners of free time with devices to be won. (There will be those wacky days like in the past, as well.) One for PK-5, one in the middle school and Charter, and one with 9th-12th grade. All funds will go towards the Operation Rudolph charity, which collects gifts for local families undergoing hardships during the holiday season. The money will be collected in the library. The last day for collecting funds will be Thursday, November 21st.
The Northwood School District is very excited to announce the Operational Referendum has successfully passed. We are very grateful for the ongoing support from our communities. This investment by our communities will address many key areas throughout the District.
We look forward to the exciting work ahead and the positive momentum for our District.
