Why did you decide to become a teacher or school staff member?  I wanted to help students build self-esteem and believe in themselves and their ability to learn, no matter their background or abilities -- and no matter how tough the subject matter. Math is a tough subject, but if you stick with it and believe in yourself, you can do it! By studying math all the way through graduate school, I learned how to stick with things when they get difficult -- and my self-esteem and problem-solving abilities grew in leaps and bounds. I would like to teach stick-to-it-iveness to everyone that comes to class!! Because, honestly, perseverance is the key to living a successful life.
