Middle School students from Northwood and NorthStar got to take part in this year's Empower Leadership event sponsored by the Green Bay Packer.
At the event the students also took part in breakout sessions. The three sessions were:
Rhymes with Reason – Language of Leadership
Students will explore leadership via popular music lyrics with activities that teach students key, relevant vocabulary in a fun, engaging way that pertain to Goal Setting, Leadership & Stewardship.
Care Kit Packing with Packers Alumni Nick Barnett and Frank Zombo and Pulaski Hope Squad
Help us pack hundreds of kits for school care closets! Students will help pack hygiene, food, and school supplies care kits for fellow students in their own schools and communities. Schools attending Empower will take these care kits back with them. School staff and counselors will distribute care kits to students in need as they see fit.
Character Playbook – When it Matters Most
Character Playbook will guide students through engaging, scenario-based activities that explore decision-making, communication and core character strengths. Students will examine real-world situations they face in school, online and in their social circles, while participating in dynamic exercises that reinforce empathy, responsibility and integrity. By the end of the event, students will walk away with renewed confidence, actionable insights and a deeper understanding of how their character shapes the impact they have on the people and communities around them.
