March included Read Across America Week which honors Dr. Seuss. Students created their own Dr. Seuss characters and made green eggs from white chocolate and green candy melts. We used measurement skills to make pistachio chocoate chunk muffins as one of our St. Patrick's Day snacks. We had a green day where students mixed blue and yellow colored water to create green. They also created tops with alternating designs of blue and yellow. When the tops spin they look green. We also continued to reinforce reading and math skills taught during the school day with fun games and activities.
